Extensive Description
A cedar bathroom countertop with a live edge
The natural front edge gives this vanity top its distinctive outline. Light and dark areas run through the cedar, with knots and changes in tone still visible. The rounded side and undulating edge make the timber a clear part of the design when viewed from the front as well as from above.
Wall shelves that repeat the timber detail
The photographs also show two floating wall shelves with natural edges and related grain. A lower wooden shelf for towels is visible beside the cabinet. Together, these details show how a wooden vanity top and bathroom shelves can work within the same room without relying on identical straight lines.
The top within an installed bathroom
The white vessel basin, black tap and dark cabinet give the photographs their bathroom setting. The finished installation is shown from several angles, with closer views of the front edge and shelves. For your project, we agree which wooden elements and other components are specified in the quotation.
Your vanity top and shelves made to measure
We look at the available space, the existing furniture and the intended position of the basin and tap. Three parts of the design guide that discussion:
- Wood and outline: the grain, live edge and relationship between the top and the wall shelves.
- Layout and dimensions: space around the basin, necessary cut-outs and the shelf positions.
- Construction and care: mounting, an appropriate finish and maintenance for use in your bathroom.
