For daily maintenance, a slightly damp, soft cloth is sufficient. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, abrasive sponges, or chemical sprays, as they can damage the oil layer or the gloss of the epoxy. For the long term, we recommend treating the table occasionally with a maintenance oil to nourish the wood and keep the color warm.
An epoxy table is very hard and durable, but no material is 100% scratch-free. Just like with a lacquered wooden table, slight signs of wear can occur over time due to sliding objects. The big advantage: Unlike veneer, a solid epoxy table from IQONYA is fully restorable. If a scratch occurs after years of use, the top can be repolished and oiled, after which it will look brand new.
No, we always recommend using coasters for hot pans and hot cups of tea or coffee. Extreme heat can cause rings in the oil finish or (in rare cases) affect the epoxy. Prevention is better than cure!
Yes, that is one of our specialties. Whether it concerns coins, stones, tools or – as in a recent project – a loved one's cameras. As long as the objects are dry and react well with the resin, we can "freeze" them in the epoxy. This turns the table into a unique and tangible keepsake.
Absolutely. At IQONYA you are the designer of your own table. You can select the raw planks yourself (such as Juniper, Olive, or Cedar) from our storage. In addition, we determine the color of the epoxy together. Tip: We often invite clients to our workshop to be present during the pouring process. You will then see live how the pigments are mixed and how your custom table is created.
Bathroom walls are rarely 100% square. To prevent gaps, we offer a unique cardboard template service. You first create a cardboard template at home that fits perfectly. We then use this template in our workshop to cut the wood to that exact shape. This guarantees a 100% perfect fit, even with crooked walls.
The price of an epoxy table depends entirely on your specific wishes. For example, the price per square meter (m2) varies between 1500 and 3000 euros. Factors that determine the price are the chosen wood type (for example exclusive Olive wood or Juniper), the dimensions of the top, and the amount of epoxy needed for the casting. Because epoxy is a costly material and the manual process (making templates, pouring in layers, sanding, and polishing) is labor-intensive, the price is higher than that of a standard table. See it as an investment in a work of art that will last a lifetime. Tip: Contact us for a non-binding price indication based on your ideal dimensions.
A solid live edge table is alive! To keep the wood beautiful, there are three golden rules:
Climate: Wood reacts to moisture. Try to keep the indoor humidity around 50-60%. This prevents the wood from warping or cracking.
Protection: The table is finished with a high-quality oil that protects against dirt. Always use coasters anyway to prevent heat or moisture rings.
Refreshing: Is the table getting a bit dull or dry over time? You can easily lightly sand the table yourself and apply a new layer of maintenance oil. This will restore the deep color and protection to the wood, making your table look brand new again.
Yes, epoxy is excellently suited for dining tables and is becoming increasingly popular in modern interiors. The epoxy resin that IQONYA uses cures to a very strong and smooth surface.
Hygiene: Unlike a rough live edge table with cracks, an epoxy table is completely sealed. No food remnants or crumbs can disappear into the knots.
Protection: The resin preserves the wood and makes the table water-repellent. This gives you the looks of robust wood, but the convenience of a modern synthetic or natural stone table.
This is part of the normal maintenance of an oiled piece of furniture. Due to cleaning and use, the top oil layer can become a bit scarce.
The solution: Clean the table thoroughly and make sure it is dust-free. Then apply a thin layer of maintenance oil (available from us) with a lint-free cloth. Let this absorb and buff it out. You will see that the colors of the wood and the gloss of the epoxy are immediately revived (“the table regains its depth”).
It looks simple on YouTube, but making a high-quality epoxy table is a specialized craft. There are many critical factors:
Moisture percentage: The wood must have exactly the right moisture percentage. Is it too wet? Then the epoxy won't adhere or the wood will rot/warp later.
Air bubbles: Without professional equipment (such as vacuum chambers) and the right pouring technique, you will get air bubbles in the resin.
Heat: During curing, epoxy gets warm. If this happens too fast, the table can crack. At IQONYA we master this process down to the last detail, ensuring a crystal clear and stable result.
A custom tabletop requires a fitting base. With us, you have the choice of various steel bases (such as X-legs, U-legs, Matrix legs) or even wooden legs. Because we make everything ourselves, we can also supply the base at the right height and in the desired color (powder coating), so that it perfectly matches your chairs and seating comfort.

Because we manage a large stock of dried tops in-house, we can often deliver faster than average. For a fully custom-made and finished live edge table, you should expect an average delivery time of 4 to 8 weeks. Do you need the table sooner? We sometimes have ready-made models in the showroom that are available immediately.
Yes, absolutely. Because we work from raw, large planks (sometimes up to 4 or 5 meters long!), we can cut the table down to the exact centimeter for you. Are you looking for a table of exactly 285 cm because it fits best? No problem. In our workshop we cut the top to the desired length. You can possibly take the ‘leftover piece’ with you to make a matching wall shelf or windowsill, for example.
A live edge table has a natural, irregular shape that sometimes widens out. Does this just not fit in your room? We can often narrow the top without losing its natural character. Tip: For smaller spaces, we can also straight-cut one side. This allows you to place the table tightly against the wall, while keeping the beautiful, wavy live edge on the other side. This saves space and looks very stylish.
Yes, we specialize in large sizes that you won't easily find in a regular furniture store. We regularly have unique tops in stock of 3, 4, or even 5 meters long in one piece. These are impressive eye-catchers for large eat-in kitchens or meeting rooms. Be sure to come and see them in the showroom, because for such unique sizes, once they are gone, they are gone.
A 3-meter table comfortably seats 8 to 10 people. You can choose 3 spacious armchairs or 4 dining chairs per long side. In addition, there is room for an extra seat at both ends. By placing the table legs strategically, you can optionally create even more space.
Yes, the live edge tables in our wide assortment of more than four hundred table tops are all crafted from solid wood and are made entirely from a single piece.
The prices for a live edge tree trunk table start from 600 to 1000 euros per square meter. We custom-make our tables to your wishes alongside a number of examples that are ready in our showroom, and the prices depend on how much labor and optionally epoxy has to be used. For a price indication, we highly recommend you request a quote and visit our showroom in Zevenhuizen to feel and select the perfect table top.
Yes, absolutely. At IQONYA, we select our wood and table tops with great respect for nature. Our tops come from trees that were at the end of their natural life cycle, or that had to be felled due to safety or restructuring. Instead of letting this wood go to waste, we give it a beautiful second life as a unique piece of furniture. Read more about sustainability here.
Yes, we use high-quality epoxy for our tables that is resistant to UV radiation.
We have oak, cedar, olive, eucalyptus, and juniper wood table tops in stock. Many types of wood are naturally suitable for making a live edge table, coffee table, epoxy table, or dining table. Olive wood is beautifully irregular and robust, and has beautiful grain patterns that come to life with the improved wood oil we use. Cedar wood has a very pleasant scent, and is highly resistant to rot and the elements. Oak wood is of course known for its robustness.
