A Coastline in Your Living Room This coffee table is more than a piece of furniture; it is a centrepiece that exudes calm and luxury. As you can see in the photos, we use characterful olive wood slabs that are 'split' down the middle by a flow of vibrant blue epoxy. The semi-transparent depth of the epoxy creates a beautiful 3D effect, reminiscent of clear water in a tropical lagoon.
The Magic of Olive Wood We love working with olive wood because of its spectacular appearance. The wood has a warm, golden-brown base colour with dark, sometimes almost black veins dancing through the slab. Because olive trees grow slowly, the wood is extremely hard and durable. The combination of this robust natural product with the sleek, modern epoxy creates a perfect balance between rustic and chic.
Handmade in the Netherlands (Zevenhuizen) Although the exclusive olive wood originates from Turkey, the creation takes place on Dutch soil. In our workshop in Zevenhuizen, we select the pieces of wood that fit together perfectly. We then pour the epoxy with great precision to create a seamless bond. Finally, the table is thoroughly sanded and polished for a silky-smooth finish.
