With this olive wood coffee table, you are not bringing home a mass-produced item, but a single slab of solid olive wood that exists nowhere else. Over the years, the heart of the trunk had weathered and split open; that hollow was filled with meticulous precision using high-grade dark epoxy resin. What remains right in the centre is the finest feature: an untouched burl rising through the pour, with swirling circular grain and a greenish shimmer that catches the light differently from every angle.

Honey-Toned Grain Right to the Live Edge

Around the core, the olive wood opens out into the broad, cloud-like patterns the species is renowned for. Dark veins run through like ink lines, continuing right to the edge, where fine shrinkage cracks have also been sealed with black epoxy resin – repaired where needed, otherwise left well alone. The live edge hasn't been cut straight, but follows the natural contours, lobes, and hollows of the trunk itself.
