This coffee table is cut from a single round slab of juniper wood, a slow-growing species with an exceptionally fine, almost woven grain pattern. The natural cavities at the heart are filled with dark epoxy resin into which green and gold pigments were introduced just before the pour cured, suspending them like smoke rather than blending them completely. From above, the surface reads like a nebula among the stars; from the side, like deep, near-black water.
Enriched and Protected by Enhanced Wood Oil
To bring out the very best in the natural beauty of the juniper wood, this coffee table has been treated with our exclusive enhanced wood oil. This premium finish saturates the wood fibres, strikingly accentuating the subtle contrast between the creamy-white sapwood and the warmer heartwood, as well as the razor-sharp growth rings. At the same time, the oil provides a superior, invisible protective layer against moisture and dirt.
Sustainability with a Story
True luxury is created with respect for nature. For iQonya’s bespoke furniture, healthy trees are never felled. We work exclusively with sustainably sourced wood from trees that have reached the end of their natural life cycle through lightning, storms, or simply old age. Juniper grows so slowly that the rings in this slab are scarcely countable with the naked eye; an entire century of growth is preserved right here.
