This makes the table an impressive 15 centimetres thick and gives it an incredibly robust, solid appearance. The deep grooves, natural voids and wild grain pattern make this a unique, earthy piece that sits perfectly in a rustic, industrial or modern interior.

Olive Wood: Hard, Durable and Gnarled

The wood for this table is sourced from ancient olive trees in Turkey. Olive wood is one of the hardest woods in the world, renowned for its warm colour tones and striking, irregular grain. As you can see in the photos, we have left the natural shape (the 'live edge') completely intact. The top has been sanded silky smooth, giving you the comfort of a flat surface without losing any of its raw character.

Practical Design on Castors

A solid block of wood of this size carries significant weight. To ensure you can easily rearrange your living space, we have fitted this table with sturdy industrial castors.

• Practicality: Simply roll the table aside when you want to vacuum, fold out the sofa, or need extra space for hosting.
• Look: The combination of warm, organic wood and rugged castors gives the table a modern, industrial edge.

Craftsmanship from Zevenhuizen

While nature determined the design, the finish is a product of pure craftsmanship. In our Zevenhuizen workshop, this block of wood was carefully dried, planed flat and sanded.

• Bespoke options: Are the natural voids in the slab too large for your liking? On request, we can fill them with clear or black epoxy resin to create a completely smooth surface. Or leave it exactly as it is for the ultimate natural look.
