The Shape: Juniper grows slowly and often in harsh conditions. This gives the tree a stunted, twisted shape full of curves, holes and knots.
The Scent & Colour: In the workshop, working with this wood is an absolute joy because of its wonderful, spicy scent. But the real surprise comes during finishing: the wood has a spectacular colour palette ranging from creamy white to fiery orange, red and purple.
Durability: Due to its slow growth, the wood is incredibly compact and hard, making it perfect for a durable piece of furniture.

Once we have selected the raw slabs, cleaned them and placed them in the mould, the magic moment arrives: the pour. Did you know you can be there for this? We love inviting our customers into the workshop to mix the colour pigments together. Do you want a deep, mysterious black river like in this project? Or will you go for ocean blue, emerald green or metallic copper? You get to watch live as the liquid resin shapes your epoxy table.

Honest about Wood: Life and Maintenance
Once the epoxy has cured and the table is perfectly finished with oil, you'll have a real centrepiece in your home. To enjoy it for a lifetime, it helps to understand the characteristics of this natural product.
Wood is hygroscopic ("moisture-absorbing") and reacts to its environment. Despite the stabilising effect of the epoxy, wood continues to move.
Climate Control: Ensure a stable humidity level in your home (between 50% and 60%). This keeps your table in top condition and minimises the chance of movement (shrinking/expanding).
Daily Use: The table is incredibly strong, but treat it with love. Use coasters to prevent rings in the oil and be careful with sliding, sharp objects.
Refinishable: The great advantage of a solid table from iQonya is its durability. If a scratch or mark does appear after years of intensive use, the slab is easy to sand down and re-oil. Your table will literally be as good as new again.
