Epoxy dining tables (or river tables) are often known for their mirror-like high-gloss finish. With this particular showroom model, we show that things can be done differently. By choosing a completely matt, black epoxy, the table gains an understated, ultra-modern and tactile feel. The matt surface absorbs light instead of reflecting it, shifting the focus entirely to the stunning, golden grain pattern of the olive wood.

Seamless Craftsmanship (Seamless Design)

What makes this table truly special is the artisanal sanding. At first glance, it looks as though we have placed loose pieces of wood onto a sleek black table. However, when you run your hand over the table top, you feel absolutely no transition between the wood and the epoxy. The olive root and the resin are seamlessly joined and sanded flat to the millimetre. This requires incredible precision in our workshop, but results in a table that is not only visually stunning, but also highly practical and hygienic to use.

The Beauty of Olive Root (Root Wood)

For the wooden elements in this table, we didn't just use any olive wood, but the exclusive root wood (root). This is the hardest and most characterful part of the tree. The wild patterns, dark veins and natural voids ("live edge" elements) form a spectacular archipelago in the black epoxy 'ocean'.

Perfect Dimensions for Intimate Dining

Measuring 160x100 cm this table is perfectly proportioned for 4 to 6 people. The solid table top is a substantial 5 centimetres thick, giving the piece an imposing and indestructible character. Ideal for both more compact dining rooms and spacious open-plan kitchens where creating an atmosphere is key.
