Juniper epoxy dining table with a red centre and pale edges

A red-toned centre and pale outer edges give this juniper epoxy dining table its distinctive appearance. Dark grain, knots and irregular shapes run across the top. Its glossy surface catches the colour variations differently from each angle.

The photographs show a completed project to inspire your own live edge dining table. At iQonya in Zevenhuizen we discuss the wood, use of epoxy and a shape suited to your dining room. Price on request.

Juniper in red and pale wood tones

The centre of the top has warm red and reddish-brown colours. Towards the outside, the wood changes to a pale, almost cream-white edge. This contrast is part of the visible wood pattern and gives the table a clear design along its full length.

Epoxy around natural forms

Dark grain, knots and resin-filled openings cross the surface. Their arrangement follows the irregular structure of the wood. Notches and curves remain visible along the live front edge, giving the tabletop a different outline from each viewpoint.

The dining table in a home

The photographs show the table between black chairs, beneath glass pendant lights and beside garden doors. The pale edge stands out against the dark seating. A combination of wide views and close-ups helps you assess the colour, contours and visible thickness of the top.

A juniper table for your room

For your own design, we begin with the wood and how you plan to use the table. Together we discuss:

• The slab: red and pale wood tones, knots and the line of the natural edges.
• The epoxy: your chosen colour, the position of the resin and the balance between wood and filling.
• The design: your dimensions, a suitable base and space for your own chairs.
