This custom juniper epoxy dining table combines red-brown wood with long pale bands. We fully encased the tabletop in clear epoxy. Its glossy finish reveals the colour changes, knots and dark natural openings. A dark base supports the rectangular top.

Extensive Description
Juniper with red and pale bands
Broad red-brown areas alternate with narrow pale strips along the tabletop. Dark lines and natural openings interrupt the grain. The view changes between the end of the table and its long sides. This wood pattern is the starting point for the dining table shown here.
A tabletop fully encased in clear epoxy
For this project, we fully encased the wood in clear epoxy. The glossy layer reflects the light from the windows while keeping the wood colours visible. Detail photographs show the dark voids and the transition into the pale grain. We discuss the appearance and care of the finish for your own table.
