A table, shelf or vanity project begins with a suitable slab. We help select timber by usable size and the shape of your design. Tell us which work you plan to do yourself and what preparation you may need.

These finished pieces illustrate the possibilities of the timber. They do not show a current inventory of raw slabs.
A live edge slab varies in width. Specify the minimum usable width, length and finished thickness, allowing for your machining. Cracks and openings can become part of the design or fall outside the area you need.
Tell us where the furniture will be used and what it needs to support. Inspect both faces and ask about the condition, moisture and preparation of the selected timber. A finished example cannot establish the condition of a raw slab.
Explain whether you intend to cut, flatten, sand or work with resin. We distinguish raw timber, a prepared top and a finished piece of furniture in the proposal. Machining and transport are discussed for your project.
Book an appointment and send your required dimensions. We can discuss suitable pieces and current availability.
The photographs illustrate shape and grain. We select an available piece for your project; the result and price depend on that timber and the agreed preparation.

See the grain, colour and natural edge up close. Bring your measurements, room photographs and, if useful, a chair. During an appointment we discuss timber, finish, the base and delivery options.
