A Rally Driver's Dream
Imagine: a whole life dedicated to the smell of petrol, the roar of engines, and the thrill of speed. Our client, a gentleman with a successful career in the automotive industry, lives and breathes cars. His eyes lit up when he shared his idea with us: he wanted a table that would capture his love for cars, a tribute to the roads he has conquered and the machines he has driven. Not just any table, but a work of art in which his cherished model cars would find a permanent home.
A Landscape of Olive Wood and Rivers of Epoxy Resin
When he shared his vision, we saw it immediately. Olive wood, with its rugged, characteristic grain and irregular shapes, would form the perfect "landscape". In our minds, the natural crevices and hollows of the wood transformed into winding roads and deep valleys. And in between? Rivers of deep blue and greenish epoxy resin, shimmering like water, featuring the stars of the show: his beloved model cars, carefully positioned as if they were in the middle of a thrilling rally stage.
It was a delicate operation: each car had to be perfectly positioned before the epoxy resin was poured. We wanted it to look as if they could drive off at any moment, captured in a split second of action. The result? A spectacular 3D effect that draws your gaze deep into the table time and again. You can see a white sports car almost driving through a stream, while a classic green racer enjoys a scenic route. This isn't just a table; it's a piece of rolling art!
