Design a unique epoxy live edge table yourself
We have exclusive wood types like juniper and cedar in stock for you — unique in Europe. You are also at the right place for eucalyptus and olive wood! The natural scent of our wood is lasting and creates a calming, natural atmosphere in your home.
These exclusive wood types form the puzzle pieces of every epoxy table and are therefore indispensable. Every wood type comes with its own story and forms the epilogue of your table. Because of its robustness and central role in shipbuilding, the cedar was chosen as the national symbol of Lebanon. Olive wood is known in the Mediterranean for its antibacterial properties. Because we use civilization symbols to make furniture, it is of the utmost importance to us that the wood we use is sustainably sourced. That is why we only use wood from forest areas, from trees that had long been “dead”. For us, however, wood is always alive, hence our slogan “giving wood a second life”.
Participate in finishing your epoxy table?
Upon purchase, you choose the type and color of oil to finish the tabletop. The color palette gives you plenty of opportunity for a unique choice. We test the oil on the bottom of your original tabletop, so you can see exactly what you are buying. You will not face any surprises. You can decide how involved you want to be in the color pouring process. We pour an approximately 5 millimeter layer of epoxy in your desired colors and accents. The rest is filled with transparent epoxy. This creates a beautiful and special 3D structure. The result is a unique, handmade tabletop: ‘One of a kind’!

Frequently asked questions
How much does a custom epoxy resin table cost?
At iQonya an epoxy table costs between €1500 and €3000 per square metre. Where you land in that range depends on the wood (olive and juniper are more exclusive than oak), the dimensions of the top, and how much resin the pour requires. Epoxy is an expensive material and every pour is done by hand, so we quote per project. Request a free quote or visit our showroom in Zevenhuizen, near Rotterdam.
How long does an epoxy table take to make?
Allow 6 to 12 weeks on average for an epoxy table. Because we keep over 5000 kiln-dried slabs in stock ourselves, we do not have to wait for timber. If a finished piece in the showroom suits you, it can sometimes go home the same day.
Is an epoxy table suitable for everyday dining?
Yes. The resin cures to a very hard, smooth and completely sealed surface, so no crumbs or food can disappear into knots and cracks — more hygienic than an untreated live edge top. The resin also preserves the wood. Do use coasters for hot pans: extreme heat can leave rings in the oil finish.
Can I choose the wood and the resin colour myself?
Yes, that is the whole point of how we work. You pick the raw slab in our storage — juniper, olive, cedar, oak or eucalyptus — and we decide the colour and transparency of the resin together. Customers are often invited to be present at the pour and watch the pigments being mixed.
Will the epoxy yellow or fade in sunlight?
No. We only use high-grade UV-resistant resin, precisely because cheaper resins yellow after a few years. And a solid epoxy top can always be re-polished — unlike veneer, it is fully restorable.
Can you cast personal objects into the table?
Yes, it is one of our specialities. Coins, stones, tools or a personal keepsake can be frozen into the resin, as long as the objects are dry and do not react with the epoxy. It turns the table into a tangible memento.
