Yes. The resin cures to a very hard, smooth and completely sealed surface, so no crumbs or food can disappear into knots and cracks — more hygienic than an untreated live edge top. The resin also preserves the wood. Do use coasters for hot pans: extreme heat can leave rings in the oil finish.

Yes, that is the whole point of how we work. You pick the raw slab in our storage — juniper, olive, cedar, oak or eucalyptus — and we decide the colour and transparency of the resin together. Customers are often invited to be present at the pour and watch the pigments being mixed.

No. We only use high-grade UV-resistant resin, precisely because cheaper resins yellow after a few years. And a solid epoxy top can always be re-polished — unlike veneer, it is fully restorable.

Yes, it is one of our specialities. Coins, stones, tools or a personal keepsake can be frozen into the resin, as long as the objects are dry and do not react with the epoxy. It turns the table into a tangible memento.
